This soapstone seal is a representation of good luck, treasure and fortune, depicting the Year of the Ram in the Chinese 12 year cycle. The color of the seal varies from a tan to a caramel-rust color interspersed with areas of transparency. The carved ram figure is in a position of repose on a base engraved with ram/sheep symbols and script. The script translates to "Be lucky as you wish; Let treasure go everywhere"; the seal script reads "Be lucky as you wish" and had remnants of red ink.
The age of the seal is unknown but is thought to be 20th century.
The seal is approximately 3.25 inches tall and 2 inches wide across the base.
