Handmade with the highly aromatic Chian Mandarin, a product of Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) that has a more intense flavor and fragrance than the tangerines we know in the States. Whole pieces of peel float in a simple, all-natural syrup of sugar, water, and lemon juice. No preservatives or additives, just a healthy Mediterranean dessert to enjoy straight or as a topping on your favorite treats. “Spoon Sweets” are that quintessentially Greek accompaniment to coffee, as you’re welcomed to someone’s home with a spoonful on a small plate. We love this Spoon Sweet as a traditional dessert or as a topping for cheesecake, flan, panna cotta, yogurt parfaits, ice cream sundaes.
