This traditional mudman figurine is a detailed depiction of a Chinese man resting on a stump beautifully glazed using the flambe technique. There is bowl on the right side and there appears to be a fishing pole missing from his right hand. Like many mud man figures, he has a straw hat; his is resting on his back. This figure has on sandals, where most mud man are depicted barefoot. This more modern version also has a slightly different color scheme, using a lighter blue.
The figurine is approximately 3.75" tall and approximately 2.5" wide. There is no damage. There appears to some type of marking incised on the base, possibly a single Chinese character or a factory mark. The figure dates to the latter part of the 20th century.
