This is an old rice grain piece. The outer upper border is a hand painted hexagonal design below a circle of blue. The lower border is an unusual leaf design made of pairs of leaves leaning in towards each other. This border is also below a circle of blue. Signs of age are seen on the un-glazed inner rim. The interior glazed surface reveals signs of an older kiln issue with bits of particles under the glaze. There are also rust spots as well as contracted glaze. The piece likely dates to late Qing, mid 19th century.
The bowl is approximately 2.25 inches tall with a 3 inch diameter. There is a hairline crack as shown in the pictures.
