This lovely estate find is a small work of art. The floral motif is offset by geometric designs wonderfully detailed and outlined in gold. There are alternating panels in contrasting colors surrounding a peach at the center. The hand painting can be easily confirmed by touch or by examining the brush strokes that are easily seen. This is a beautifully detailed piece that will make a nice addition to any collection.
There is a Fuku mark painted on the base inside a blue ring. The mark dates the bowl to the late Edo or early Meiji period placing it firmly in the 19th century.
There is a chip on the inner edge and a rust spot, which indicative of age. There are no other cracks or nicks. Overall good condition.
