This 17th C Ming Blue and White Swatow Jarlet is decorated in cobalt blue underglaze with a rimmed foot, globular body and tapering neck. It is decorated with a border of overlapping petals around the shoulder. It has a crackled finish. Acquired from the collection of Maria Worthington of Northern Virginia.
It measures approx. 2 inches tall and 2 inches wide.
There is some glaze crawl, a firing crack, and imperfection consistent with age and use. Additional pictures available upon request.
