TheWMarketplace Announces Development and Investment Partnership with Synergy Technologies

TheWMarketplace has secured a pre-seed round of funding from Jacksonville, FL-based  Synergy Technologies. TheWMarketplace will use this investment to facilitate the development of its platform and the growth of its community of women-owned and gender-balanced businesses. TheWMarketplace is a values-driven online platform for growing and for empowering women-owned and gender-balanced companies. Within the TheWMarketplace ecosystem, these businesses sell their goods and professional services, connect to a robust community and learn from each other. 



With the pandemic disproportionately affecting women, TheWMarketplace offers an immediate solution for women-owned merchants and professional service providers needing to pivot to an online presence or to grow their sales. TheWMarketplace was formed May 22, 2020 and launched its online presence on September 29, 2020.  Since launch, the business has seen 300% growth in seller presence, and lists almost 2,000 women-owned products and professional services.  TheWMarketplace has formed partnerships with the Small Business Administration’s affiliated offices that support women, and with numerous women’s networking organizations to support their clients in pivoting to an online presence or in growing existing sales channels.
