The WMarketplace (referred to herein by the terms “We,” “Us,” or “Our”) seeks to eliminate the gender gap by allowing buyers to purchase goods and services directly from women-owned and gender balanced companies. We consider ourselves a Force for Good, and want to ensure that everyone who enters The WMarketplace has a positive, warm, and fun experience. To that end, We want to be clear about Our policies for Sellers.
What you can’t sell on TWMP:
Drugs and drug paraphenalia such as pipes or hookahs, Tobacco, Firearms or anything that glorifies violence, Hate Items (items that glorify symbols traditionally associated with hate speech, such as KKK or Nazi paraphenalia), Pornography, any other items considered illegal, and alcohol, except that alcohol may be sold where specifically authorized in writing in advance by Us.
We reserve the right to remove any offerings of goods or services or other Content that violate Our policies and terminate Your account without refunding any listing fees.
Sellers understand and agree to:
Provide honest, accurate information about the goods and / or services you are offering through Our Services, including accurately representing your listings, pricing, and shipping cost, accurately representing your items in your listing photos; and accurately describing the professional services you provide, including any certifications or education required by your industry.
Set forth on a publicly accessible website, and honor, clear policies governing e-commerce issues including acceptance of orders, returns, refunds and exchanges and denoting a clear time frame by which Buyers have to make returns or request refunds or exchanges.
To include Shipping fees within their cost of sale to Buyers, and to not charge Shipping fees or otherwise add additional Shipping fees to Buyers shopping carts when Buyers purchase their products through TWMP. You can price your items to include the cost of shipping in your item listing price.
Ship orders within 48 hours of the date the item was ordered. If your product is handmade, made to order, or otherwise impossible to ship within the 48 hour window, you must include an estimated shipping time on each of your product listings, as well as your storefront, so that customers understand the longer fulfillment time.
If you are unable to complete an order, you must notify Us within 24 hours of the date on which the order was placed.
Provide prompt, timely, and respectful customer service and use your best efforts to maintain trust with Your Buyers. You will alert Us in the event of any disagreements or disputes with Buyers and will not contact Buyers directly. We will engage with the Buyers on Your behalf in the event of any disagreements or disputes.
Not use duplicate accounts, names or interfaces, or take any other action (such as manipulating clicks, carts or sales) for the purpose of manipulating search or circumventing Our policies;
Not infringe on the intellectual property rights of other any other person or entity;
Not coordinate pricing with other sellers, or in any way attempt to fix prices.
Not resell products without the explicit authority to resell, and to provide Us with proof of authority to resell if asked.
Not engage in fee avoidance, including by encouraging Our buyers to purchase items outside of Our Services, altering an item’s price after sale for the purpose of avoiding transaction fees, or using another’s user’s account without authorization;
Respond to messages and disputes from Buyers through Our Services in a prompt and timely manner and be kind and respectful in your communications with Buyers, other Sellers, and all users of Our Services.
Understand that once their annual subscription fee is paid, sellers will not receive a pro-rated refund if they choose to leave Us prior to the end of their current annual term.
Understand that they must provide Us with 30 days notice to terminate their monthly or annual subscription account.
Understand that if they have not paid their annual or monthly subscription fees, We reserve the right to deduct the amount of the unpaid subscription fees from Seller sales.
Agree to post twice monthly on all their social media accounts regarding their presence on TheWMarketplace, encouraging their followers to visit their storefronts on TheWMarketplace. Social media accounts include Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Twitter, among others.
Privacy and Personal Information
If We and You are found to be joint data controllers of personal information, and if We are sued, fined, or otherwise incur expenses because of something that You did in Your capacity as a joint data controller of buyer personal information, You agree to indemnify Us and hold Us harmless for the expenses We occur in connection with Your processing of buyer personal information.
You may want to upload photos, videos of your services or goods, messages to other users, and You agree not to upload content that is defamatory, abusive, harassing, obscene, or vulgar, or that in any way violates another’s intellectual property rights. You also agree not to upload content that is misleading, false or deceptive.
