After two years in sweat pants and t-shirts, it is time to spruce up your wardrobe. It's possible to be comfortable and look cute too!

TheWMarketplace features several women-owned businesses that offer beautiful skirts, shirts, pants and dresses. We've selected a few of our favorite new outfits from female entrepreneurs. When you shop these great pieces, you are shopping women-owned.

1 |   1 People Florence FLR Pants & Sao Paulo GRU Racer Knitted Top

1 People pants and top

What We Love:

You can dress up or go casual with this combination from the Danish sustainable luxury brand, 1 People.

The high waist and sweeping leg make the Florence FLR pants ($124) a winner! We love the look with the Sao Paulo GRU Racer Knitted Top ($69).

The pants come in three colors, and also in a knee length style. The top also comes in white and black.

1 People has a wide variety of clothing -- from bras to blazers -- available on TheWMarketplace.

2 |   8apart Lucy Star Ruffle Skirt & Calypso One Shoulder Bodysuit

8apart ruffle skirt and one shoulder bodysuit

What We Love:

Trendy and fun! The Calypso One Shoulder Bodysuit ($98) from 8apart is double lined, so you don't have to worry about showing through it.

Tuck it into jeans or into this super cute Lucy Star Ruffle Skirt ($115). It sports a star print and an asymmetrical edge that makes it fun to wear.

8apart is a female-founded clothing brand designed to empower young women to be their best.

3 |   Ashley Nell Tipton Miguel Pant

What We Love:

The flattering style of the Miguel Pant ($19.95) is perfect for summer wear. We love the vertical stripes and high waist. They will pair perfectly with almost everything (sorry, the top isn't available).

What's more, these pants are available in sizes from 1X to 5X, and we LOVE inclusive sizing! To top it all off, these pants are on a huge sale: $19.95 per pair.

Designer Ashley Nell Tipton won Season 14 of Project Runway in 2015.

4 |   The OULA Company Day Dress

OULA Day Dress shop women owned

What We Love:

The repeating pattern of the Day Dress ($275) is super cute -- simple, yet eye-catching at the same time. This dress can be gussied up with a pair of fancy heels, dressed down with leggings or used as a cover up at the beach.

All of The OULA Company's clothes are made from African wax fabric and sewn in the USA.

5 |   Refugee Artisan Initiative - Julie's Knitted Patterned Skirt

Refugee Artisan Initiative Julie Patterned Skirt

What We Love:

Julie's Knitted Pattern Skirt ($185) is not something you can buy off the rack. It is handmade by Julie, a refugee from Myanmar, who is working to provide for her three children. Every stitch is knitted with intention and care, and the result is an awesome skirt that is perfect for returning to the office or a night out with friends.

The Refugee Artisan Initiative educates, employs and fosters refugee and immigrant woman to achieve greater financial independence through the creation of a variety of handmade products made and sold by women.

6 |   Trued Apparel - Metallic Velvet Kaftan

Trued Apparel Metallic Velvet Kaftan

What We Love:

Trued Apparel's Metallic Velvet Kaftan ($108.80) will dress up any outfit! The kaftan is one-size-fits-all, with an inclusive and relaxed fit. We love the shimmery metallic, velvet and silk fabric. It would be perfect thrown over a black outfit, as shown by the model, or for staying warm while dining outdoors on a summer's evening.

Trued Apparel is a sustainable, female-founded brand showcasing dresses, tunics, scarves and more with a minimalist vibe.

7 |   Prima Dona - Alice Adventure Twist Shirtdress

Prima Dona Alice Adventure Twist Dress

What We Love:

Pockets! It doesn't really surprise us that a dress made by women for women would include nice deep pockets, but it still is too much of a rarity. What's more, the vibrant fun patterned fabric of Prima Dona's Alice Adventure Twist Shirtdress ($295) is wrinkle-free.

The dress comes in two other patterns, and Prima Dona showcases the work of designers in Detroit, Nigeria and Indonesia, so definitely check out the variety of styles of women-made clothes that they produce.

8 |   Vismaya - Overlapping Layer Scarf

Vismaya Overlapping Layer Scarf

What We Love:

The versatility of the scarf cannot go unmentioned. You can dress up the plainest outfits by simply wrapping one around your neck, or you can throw one over your shoulders to stay warm when it's chilly.

Vismaya offers a lovely variety of scarfs of different prints and sizes on TheWMarketplace, but we chose the Overlapping Layer Scarf ($55) because of the colors and pattern. It reminds us of the deep blues and greens of a trip to the sea.

9 |   Not Only Pants - Ann Print Leggings

What We Love:

Sexy and comfy at the same time! Wear with a tank for yoga class, then don a pair of cute shoes and a jacket to run errands or have lunch with a friend. Not Only Pant's Ann Print Leggings ($69) are a versatile addition to your wardrobe.

Not quite ready to bring out your inner leopard? Not Only Pants also has a rainbow of solid colored prints for sale, as well as jog bras.
