When Faythe Stone-Brocka sets her mind to something, there is nothing she cannot accomplish.  Raised by a family of entrepreneurs, Faythe knew that her career would be self-built, full of passion, community-driven and would leave a legacy.  It was not until she was in her 30’s that her interest in wine was sparked.  Over the years, this has grown to be an outlet for creativity, advocacy, and a career path that she didn’t expect.
Faythe is the youngest of nine children and was raised on a farm in Iowa where work and family were intrinsic values. During her time at the University of Northern Iowa, Faythe studied accounting but soon realized that her interests lay outside of an office.  She worked at a landscaping company before starting her own landscape contracting company and tree farm.  Balancing life as a new business owner and new mother, Faythe had her work cut out for her.  She learned many life lessons and recognized that her passion for creativity and knowledge came from working with the environment.
When Faythe was in her early 30’s, she and her family took a trip to wine country in Northern California and became hooked on the wine industry, all the complexities of production, and the aromatic end results of a great glass of wine.  She got to work learning the ins and outs of wine production and, in 2014, Faythe leaned into her familial roots of entrepreneurship and founded CRU9 Wines.
While each bottle of CRU9 Wine focuses on craftsmanship, body and exquisite taste, it also furthers Faythe’s mission to advocate for survivors of domestic abuse, human trafficking, and homelessness.  As a minor, Faythe was a victim of sexual assault and has made it a life goal to do her part in making the world safer for children.  CRU9 donates 10% of each wine club purchase to various organizations that provide aid to victims of abuse, human trafficking, and homelessness.
Faythe Stone-Brocka is a woman on a mission, with fiery energy and a plethora of supporters enabling her to see her goals come to fruition.  With seven years under her belt as a wine maker,  her legacy will grow as she makes the world a better place.
